What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who's responsible

Laser Engraving London, 4 Leytonstone Road, London E15 1SE, is the data controller for information collected through this site. Contact us about anything on this page at laserengraving@dotnpix.com.

What we collect

When you order: your name, email, delivery address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought — including any engraving text, which we need in order to make the item.

When you enquire or request a quote: your name, email, message, and any artwork you send.

Automatically: basic analytics about how the site is used. We don't build advertising profiles.

We never see your card details. Payment is handled by Shopify, who process it under their own privacy policy.

Why we're allowed to

To perform our contract with you — making and delivering what you ordered.

For our legitimate interests — answering enquiries, keeping the site working, preventing fraud.

To meet legal obligations — HMRC requires us to keep transaction records for six years.

With your consent, where you've given it, such as marketing email. You can withdraw that at any time.

Who we share it with

Shopify, who run our checkout and store order records. Delivery carriers, who need your address. Our email provider, to correspond with you.

That's it. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

Order records for six years, because tax law requires it. Enquiries for two years. Artwork only as long as needed to complete your order and cover a possible reprint, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we're using it, or ask for it in a portable format. Email us and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use only what's necessary to make the site work — remembering what's in your bag, and completing checkout. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you aren't seeing a consent banner.
