Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, goods made to your specification or clearly personalised are exempt from the usual 14-day right to cancel.

In practice: once you've approved the spelling and we've engraved it, we can't resell it and can't take it back because you've changed your mind. Please check your text carefully — we engrave exactly what you type, including any typo.

This does not affect your legal rights if the item is faulty, damaged or not as described.

If we mis-set your engraving, cut the wrong size, or the item arrives damaged, we'll remake it free and cover the postage both ways. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and send a photo if you can — it usually saves a return journey.

If you'd rather have your money back than a remake, that's your choice, not ours to decide.

Anything bought from us without personalisation can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, under the same regulations. It needs to come back unused and in a resaleable condition.

Tell us you're cancelling first — email is fine. Return postage is yours unless the item was faulty. We'll refund within 14 days of receiving the item back, to the original payment method.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If yours aren't, you're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on when the fault appears.

Wood, leather and slate are natural materials — grain, colour and figure vary between pieces, and slate edges are riven rather than uniform. That variation is a property of the material, not a fault.
